Mr Nalaka de Silva
ENT and Sleep Surgeon in Melbourne
Mr Nalaka de Silva is an Ear, Nose Throat Surgeon specialising sleep apnoea surgery. He is Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons and operates at Peninsula Private Hospital, The Bays Hospital Mornington and Peninsula Health. He graduated in Newcastle followed by ENT surgical training in Auckland. He has completed two years of post-graduate fellowship training at Monash Health, Melbourne.
Nalaka de Silva is a firm believer in a holistic approach to managing sleep apnoea. He has been performing advanced sleep surgery for over six years and co founded CSSC in 2018. He is an active researcher. He has combined some of the best European techniques with the Australian techniques to establish Modified BRP.
Dr Juan Mulder Respiratory and Sleep Physician
Dr Juan Mulder is a Consultant Respiratory and Sleep Medicine Physician. He is a fellow of the Royal Australasian Society of Physicians, a member of the Thoracic Society of Australia and a Registered Polysomnographic.
He has a particular interest in sleep disorders, especially complex disorders such as insomnia, parasomnia, narcolepsy, restless legs syndrome and sleep apnoea. He is a firm believer in a multimodal approach to managing sleep disorders, given their frequently complex nature. Thus, he undertook additional training in Intensive Care to enable him to manage complex modes of invasive and non-invasive ventilation.
He has a public appointment with Peninsula Health and works at both Frankston Public Hospital and Peninsula Private Hospital.
